I think MarJay has exprience of Buells. I had a sit on one in a Harley showroom. The seating position feels bizarre, as if your sat entirely over the front wheel.

Dont they use the frame as a fuel tank and are renowned as one of the best handling bikes ever? If I remember right the one one Marjay had was absolutely gorgeous!

I had a ride of a Buell Lightning, it was great fun to ride, not too heavy. Be careful though, the exhausts tend to corrode as they are not stainless and they may have the same problems as the Harleys as regards the drive belt.
The rear sprocket is coated so it doesn't rub on the belt, unfortunately the coating wears off at about 30000 miles and then the teeth on the sprocket tear into the belt. This results in a huge bill for 2 new sprockets and a new belt. Apparently the way round this is to replace the rear sprocket at about 15000 miles as the coating has not started to wear off at this mileage.

Villers, the fuel is held in the frame and the bit that looks like the tank is the air filter. Thumbs Up

I rode my mates and it was a dream on the move (no vibes as soon as the clutch is all the way out). I died of embarrassment anytime I was waiting at traffic lights, as the vibrations made my whole body tremble and I could see people staring.....
