Ok, sometime in late august I'm going to do a paintjob on my bike since the fairings are scratched and the fuel tank is a bit scratched too.

So I'm buying new white fairings to go with the new paint aswell.

But I'm not sure what colours to do.

This is what my bike looks like now:

I don't want the same colours again.

Could you post some pics of some nice painted bikes that you think would look good on my Kawasaki GPZ 500S to give me some inspiration?

I was thinking this would look nice but its a bit boring too i think:

They're quite a retro looking bike in a way imo (perhaps that's just me being young and thinking it looks a little old, but no offence meant from that!) and as soon as I saw the pic and read the post I thought about the Kawasaki ZRX1200

https://www.rsgear.co.jp/shohin/zrx1200/zrx1200_1.jpg

It's still very much a Kawasaki with the bright green, but using the old style colourscheme of blue & white aswell which I think look good on it, and I think could look good on yours... Is there any good Photoshop users on here who could do that? Plus they ain't too lurid or extreme & tasteless and they're in keeping with the bike I think.

Sorry Jay, I didn't really get what ELR was, thought it was some sort of Kawasaki I'd never heard of Embarassed but it makes sense now! And I never noticed that was your post either, I barely look at names so I only go off avatar's usually, oops, I guess I'll stop doing that.

I think it would look good on yours, it's nothing radical as it's just some simple stripes and block colouring (not like GSXR graphics) and it's typical Kawasaki styling so shouldn't look out of place on yours.

Yeah but that bike hasnt got any fairings so the green on the bike really is minimal.

Mine has full fairing so there would be a lot more green there.
I suppose with some stickers here and there it would come out pretty decent.

I'll have to find someone good with photoshop so i can see what it would look like hehe.

Which was a colour scheme used on the GPZ500 in about 1987~1988.

We had one. You left it parked anywhere and flies landed on it. They seemed to be attracted to it.

All the best
