I brought a mini tank bag thatwas reduced from £16.99 to £9.99. I already had a five pound voucher out of a magazine so I paid £4.99. What made it a mega bargain is that when I paid they gave me a £10 voucher to use next time!

Yeah size 48 is what I need, was it definately a PSX RS you saw in size 48? They did the old XCR suit in 48 but not the current RS one as far as I'm aware Sad

seb the catalogue states that sizes are from 50-60 there is nothing much in it between 48 and the 50 also the jacket does not come with a thermal lining so a fleece would be good in colder weather give the 50 a go with a thin fleece on.

What is it with people on BCF suddenly getting their backs up on some banter so quickly these days? The place used to be so much more full of people who could take a joke..

Seb,

I think you are confusing UK sizes and the Euro sizes HG use.

I am a size 46 (UK) and I just picked up the PSX-RS PRO SHELL JACKET and matching bottoms for around half price on my way home today (and got them to throw in a £20 puncture repair kit for free Smile )

As I'm a 46 UK size the HG size I needed was a 58 Euro size (I wanted room for a fleece when it's 2 degrees just in case)

46UK is normally 56 Euro size (42 is 52, 44 is 54, 46 is 56 etc I'm sure you can google UK/Euro jacket sizes to find yours or basically add 10 to your UK size).

Enough of numbers I would HIG|HLY recomment the PSX-RS PRO SHELL JACKET and bottoms, its very thin yet cool in the summer, completely waterproof so far and with the more expensive goretex lining totally breathable.

I can report more after the next 2 days rain if you'd like to know more or you could ask me how it's going.

I've had quite a few jackets in the past (belstaff, buffalo (yuk) and revit (awfull) and the HG kit seems equivalent in quality to the belstaff gear which I have done 130k miles over 12 years in my old belstaff vulcan leather jacket with. I expect these textile/leather mix to last at least 5 years at 30k miles a year going by the build quality.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Kevin

HG is cr4p for women, hardly any choice and basically nothing there to tempt me. I asked the guy if they had anything else, he basically said no and walked away from me, obviously happy for a potential £250 sale to walk away and buy elsewhere (which I did). I won't be rushing back to HG in the future.

I'm sorry you feel like that kitty and the bad service but they do have a decent amount for women going by their catalogue.

Must admit, I felt a little awkward in the Leeds store. Recently went to the York store and was treated miles better.

I put it down to just me, rather than the stores though.

As i'm after new textiles and the 1pc Spada suit isn't breathable, I was thinking of the HG PSX T-Sports Sheltex Suit or the HG Tricky II Goretex Suit. Hard choice though as I don't commute since I have a company car.

You can get hand made suits in the uk for that money. And personally I know where my money would go. Mainly because I trust the people that make the hand made suits, whereas I don't trust the people that make the mass produced Dainese, Alpinestars, HG, BKS etc. etc in China, indonesia where the majority of the mass produced leathers come from. The build quality just isn't as good.

If you think it's a bargain is fair enough, but I certainly wouldn't spend £750 on a mass produced suit from a chain store.

https://www.hideout-leather.co.uk/motorcycle-leathers/one-piece-leather-suits/hideout-one-piece-classic-leather-motorcycle-suit

That thing exceeds the highest CE standard(the multi crash one IIRC) for the whole suit, as oppose to just the armour like the majority of mass produced suits do.

O, and another point is if they can nearly half the price of the suit and still make money on it that shows you how little it costs them to make.

Do you have a link to the actual suit?
