First thing that came into my mind was it hasn't got an engine. It can't have at that price.

I think they are worth between 6-9k second hand

I was thinking scam as well, I have emailed the guy asking why so low and if there are no problems may force my dad into getting it as he's after a bike again

if they're the ones i think they're then they only make a handful a year and i think they cost well over the 10k mark. I'd expect even stolen they'd go for a hell of a lot more then that! I suspect missing engine you'd get more then that if you tried. Writeoff's more likely.

This is the reply I got to the email

Quote:
Thank you for the interest showed in my bike, and sorry for the late reply but I have just moved to Ireland with my job. Don't worry though, the bike is still there in UK, stored at a transport company in London. This bike was left to me in my uncle's will, and to be honest I never owned a bike before and I don't even have a driver license, but I can assure you it runs as great as it looks, my uncle was all about his bike, took great bikee of it. The price I am asking is £ 2.350 and it includes shipping anywhere in UK. Because of this situation(I'm not in UK anymore), I have made special arrangements that allow me to sell the bike there without me being present, so if you are still interested on it please email me back so I can explain to you how can this be done without me being there, safely for both of us.

Sounds like a scam to me...

If this *isn't* a scam I'll buy a hat and eat it. I'd respond as follows:

Quote:
For ages now I've been looking for one of these bikes but
unfortunately I haven't found a nice one. But yours looks
carefully looked after and the price is good too. I guess you
know how sought after these are.

Yes, I am very interested in your bike and I would like to make an
offer for it. Can you explain how I would pay for the bike in these
unusual circumstances?
