I need to change my tyre, but I've never removed a shaft drive wheel, how does one do it?

Take it apart and find out? Can't imagine it'd be that hard.
I managed to find an egay bargain of rear wheel and (nearly new, like 5mm of tread) tyre for 20 quid. Was going to change it till the engine cogged up (hur hur)
I'd imagine shaft drive oil would come out so you might need to empty that, (I may be wrong) but that's all I can think... ____________________ '99 Hornet 600 , VFR 400 NC30 '92 , Kasawamasaki GT 550 , '98 Hornet 600

Well, it would have been really easy if the brake bar thing wasn't all fucked and rounded off, no matter wiggling helped, but I missed the shop being open so had to fit the tyre myself.
I tried the spade to break the bead but it didn't work, so I cut the tyre into two pieces around the middle of the tread and pulled it out with brute force. Then just used one big screwdriver and my foot to put the new tyre on. I realised I had no transport to get to a compressed air line so pumped really hard with my foot pump, and it worked fine.
Molly, I'm hopefully picking up another gt as spares, you're welcome to the engine for nowt if you can come pick it up (or get the bike down to fit it or summat) I feel kinda bad I sold you a bike that then blew up

Wow you serious?!
And dude, it was 200, and you bought it for 300 or something. I knew sooner or later something would go bang.
TBH I'm pretty sure it's the gears but I need to open it up. Then I'll know.
