The head will probably need milling on a lathe to get the bearings to fit.
You may also need to machine the lock stops either off or to a different shape to give full steering range.
Does the same front wheel and calipers fit?

Thing is the top end of the head tube isnt skirted for a tapered roller baring so i think im gonna have to mod the standard one which is a normal ball baring i was thinking about swapping the stems over on the yokes so i can just use dt barings can these be taken out without damaging them?

I've done plenty of front end swaps in my biking years.

If it's Yamaha for Yamaha, You'll probably find the stems are interchangable.
I've just pressed my Bandit 1200 stem out of my bottom yoke, and pressed it straight into a GSXR750 K2 bottom yoke so I can run K2 forks on my Bandit 1200.

The headstock tubes arent tapered either, if they run Tapered roller headstock bearings, it's usually a cup which is pressed into the headset.

I'd say the best thing you can do is press the stems out of the bottom yokes, and see if the DT125 stem will go in the new bottom yoke.

If it is too big, then you can easily have the yoke milled out slightly, or the stem lathed down providing the only part which wont pass through the bottom yoke is the very bottom of the stem (Not the tapered part the bottom bearing race sits on).

On the other hand, if the stem is too skinny, and just falls through the bottom yoke.
You can have a sleeve made up, but it MUST be a press fit.
Or you can simply weld around the bottom of the stem loads, then turn it down on a lathe.

Failing that, Dont the new DT125s have USD forks?
can you not source a set of yokes from one of these.

It's easier to make fork legs fit yokes than it is to make stems fit yokes.

The other thing you need to consider is the front wheel spindle, and caliper setup.
