Evening,

Can't find these symptoms anywhere. I have a white inverted screen on my 3G, no blacks just faint white. You can use the phone as normal but is quite hard to see around. The start screen is white with a silver apple instead of a black screen & everything looks low quality. The settings menu looks fairly normal but other then that..

I've reset, restored, updated & all of that but nothing. The screen was fine before i change the digitizer & in doing so i cracked the digitizer screen. Although cannot see that having any effect. I've pressed all connections down firmly, check & rechecked but it's still the same.

New LCD?

Cheers.

What do you mean by strip it? And this is connector '1'?

Cheers.

If you mean remove everything inside the phone i.e logic board, i've done that a few times now, so much so that i think i now know where every screw goes from memory. Shocked

Or did you mean something else? Each time i removed the board, i put it all back but got the same white screen.

Thumbs Up

no, that is what i meant.
if youve already checked the connector then something else is at fault.
could be mainboard socket, display connector or screen itself.

Thanks mate. I think i'll order a new LCD which will 'hopefully' fix the problem.

Are the cheap ebay LCD's fine to use? Noticed some come with a warranty but seem a little cheap as there's ones for triple the price.
