I'd personally advise a 600 4 (ie bandit/hornet etc, or even diversion) as opposed to a cb500/gs500. The bandit etc. doesn't give up much on comfort/'friendlyness', but will let you push it more when you feel confident.

you can accelerated access at 21 if you have a restricted licence, i tihnk its vaguely different to DAS.
