My camera has arrived (keychain #3)
I have already caught my youngest dog with its paws on the worktop Tut Tut

I want some ideas on where and how to mount it on my bike.
The cam is rounded so doesn't sit flat on anything.

My bike looks like this https://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m174/howlingterror_2006/Picture019.jpg

Using black insulating tape on the following places.

1. On top of headlight/Indicator

2. On top of mudguard.

3. On the side of the forks (RHS works better than LHS)

4. Underneath headlight/indicator Razz

Mine gets duct taped to the inside of my lid (to the chin guard looking through the visor). Alternatively I use my air inlet vents and mirror stems.

Avoid anything that would vibrate.

I got a loan of a bullet cam type heehaw, the picture was shit on both the indicator and the rear view mirror stem. Worked will mounted on the top of the front brake res (on the handlebar (if you have on there, which you do...)

Basically anywhere that won't flap or vibrate. We shot a fair bit of footage that turned out useless because it was too blurry due to vibration.

Couldn't ever get in on a helmet, it had straps that claimed to be for that purpose, but they never worked.

Thumbs Up

Make a blue tac wedge and put it flat on your mud guard and put a ball of blue tac over the mic to stop wind noise.

See my video in Bike Videos for the results with that camera.

Awesome bike as well.

I like the idea of putting it on the swingarm (looking back) Just not sure how crapped up it might get. (could wrap it in clingfilm 1st Thinking )

I'm popping out later so keep the ideas rolling and liking the inside lid tip.

Get some velco.

I have had mine mounted on the fairing and best of all on the belly pan

That withstood well above NSL speeds (on the track of course) and never moved Thumbs Up

Biggest issue with key rings cams is the 30 min, reset, no matter how big the card. As well as the very limited battery life.

I had quite decent results sticking it on top of an indicator with velcro as I couldn't think of anywhere else to put it. The 'arm' of the indicator acts a bit like a shockmount for a microphone so there isn't too much mechanical vibration getting through.

Cheap cameras tend to have no image stabilisation, this means attaching it to the bike is a waste of time ... your only solution is to fit it to your lid (your body being the damper) ...

So duck tape it to your lid!! Thumbs Up
