Got a HTC HD2 (biggest screen bar the iPad Laughing 4.3")

Wanna get hold of an e-reader app.

And get some e-books, preferably free.

Any recommendations of where has a good choice?

The two android apps I know of are Aldiko and Amazon Kindle. They both have some free books but you have to pay for decent ones.

It is mate. Whilst not entirely terrible (for my uses) I suspect I'd be more impressed with an iPhone/Desire - but ah well, I made my choice and I'll lie with it!

I've got one and never found mine to be laggy.

I did some research a while ago and don't think I found anything that great for free for reading ebooks.

I like reading on my pc for some reason... Also, never found better e-reader software than MS Reader, and can't get it to work through WINE so stuck with Windows alas...

I use Aldiko a lot. A lot. Pay for decent ones? I may be easily amused but it's going to take me a while to work through the free stuff, any book store that has the John Carter stories for free is worth worshipping Very Happy

Fawbles, sorry to say that I never really found a decent e-reader on winmo (my last few phones were all winmo).

To be honest I only had a quick look through the selection. The app doesn't work properly on my HTC Wildfire, the pages are cut off etc.

sorry G I am just not a fan of this phone. Emails are great but when I want to surf the web, its not functional at times. It gets really laggy and locks up compared to my Nokia E71.

Which browser are you using to surf? I've not had a problem myself really, though haven't used many other recent 'smart phones'.
