Right then, now my apology's been hopefully accepted, a question about tyres.

I have a 675, I really rate the 090s on my NC30. I'm not getting along with the Dragon Supercorsas on the Triumph at the moment. I rarely exceed 130 or so on the roads (erm, kph, naturally).

Would it safe to put a BT090 front on the 675? Perhaps with a rear BT016 or something?

Regardless of the speed rating, you might simply find the 090 doesn't 'work' with the 675.

The 090 is old tech now Confused

I put a set of 021's on my 675, great in all weathers including a monsoon m25 on my way to sell it!

I had 090's on my CBR 600FP and they were scary!

I suggest the Michelin Pilot Road's mate.

I have wondered why smaller bike tyres won't work with mid sized bikes. I guess I wondered whether it was solely down to their speed rating. Confused

If they're not going to work I'd probably opt for some 2CTs, which transformed my 954.

They 'may' work, but just because they work on your 400 doesn't mean they will automatically work on the 675 where you are trying to put twice the power through them! Wink

It's the front only I was musing about changing to an 090. I'd stick something more suitable for 100bhp on the rear, keeping with the Bridgestone brand of course.

But then again, mixing two vintages of tyre together might not be wise. Neutral

Depends on how 'hard' you intend to use it ... but yes, matched pair is always a good idea and will give you the most confidence when riding Thumbs Up
