The more positive ratings you get for your posts, the better your karma will get, and you'll earn more blobs...

Also, posting in general bike chat and workshop gets it going quicker than posting in random/found on the net etc.

I was going to say by giving out hand jobs but apparently the half dozen or so twats who answered before me have no sense of opportunity or humor.
Thus they have either done me out of a laugh and/or a hand job.

Damn you all Middle Finger

There should be 3 or 5 munches, to make it sound 'right'. Thumbs Up

Karma doesn't just work on post ratings IIRC, it works on spelling and punctuation, and also is affected by things like nested quotes, swearing and posting in fights and flame wars.

The karma system has been debunked many times, you can never get a negative rating but still not progress. You can be witty and urbane but never get gold blobs, if you swear you get down graded though. If you get positive karma froma gold blobbee his or her word carries more weight.

Basically, if you want to go gold, you need to have a strong bias toward biking topics when posting. I went to gold blobs for suggesting getting a strong table for a workshop, then I said cunt to often (albeit in an entertaining fashion) and haven't been able to get the gold blobs back since.

So, I've given up. I don't really know anything about bike maintenance and frankly even if I did, there a people on here who's knowledge compared to mine is a vast as it is detailed. Ergo, I just post shit (as evidenced by this message.)

Ignore the karma system, its flawed and its deeply unfashionable to show an interest anyway.

Wink
