both were highly enertaining. however i enjoyed the characters in the first one alot more. in the second one you are not introduced to as many good characters.

So i say 1 purely for the originality

ok, help me out here. Am I the only person in the known world who *didn't like* Shrek 1, and has little inclination to see Shrek 2?

Please tell me there's someone else out there who thinks the same! Confused

shrek 2 is so much better than shrek 1 Very Happy theres more jokes and gags, its the little bit more risque, and the new characters like prince charming and fairy godmother are brilliant Smile

i'm just glad that Disney turned it down because they thought it wouldn't be a hit. think how stupid shrek 1 & 2 would have been if shrek couldn't fart, donkey couldn't be rude, and every 3 seconds the film broke out into song! Shocked

i have the full movie trailer that i tried to post into this, but it wouldn't let me for some reason? the page cant be displayed after i click "add attatchment" ? can anyone help?

In my opinion, the first Shrek was better in terms of storyline, but Shrek 2 was much better entertainment value.

I didn't find Shrek 1 that amusing to be honest. I have Shrek 2 on DVD, but I really cannot be bothered to watch it, so no, you are not alone. Smile

Definitely much better than the first one, although it was also good!

The adult humour was so good!

Jamez, I have seen it too and thought it wasn't that bad. Probably because I went to see with a friend who choose it and the previous one she selected was so crap - Cabin fever - that I guess I was impressed it wasn't crap as well! Thinking

But guess you are right, the usual American crap where there is a tragedy and the family value are .... better not continue for those that want to see it!

Shrek 1 was the best!

Although donkeys "Ppppt!" noises in the carriage were amusing.

One wins, two lost it a little.

More Pussssss, in boots! Would have been good. Very Happy

If you tied me down and beat me with a rubber dildo, I would have to say 1.

However, the only real reason for this is that 1 had the originality and amusement of being "different".

2 is just more of the same. And yes, when the cat pulls "that" face. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes who could resist. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
