Just seen on Men and Motors, that they expect to re-open in December.

May I be the first to suggest that we do a ride out to it at some point (maybe next spring or so when the weather is better) to show our support and appreciation for this wonderful place?

It's in Birmingham, and recently suffered a massive fire, doing much damage.

I think as a show of support, a ride there, and paying for admission, would do much to help them get back on their feet after such a terrible tragedy.

Superb idea!

I will be up for that! Perhaps not in December as I am most definitely a member of the prestigious "Fag Bikers!" club where I am under strict instructions to only ride my bike on sunny days! Cool

Hi

Yep, near Birmingham, just off the M42 where the A45 crosses it.

All the best

For those of you who live in the Reading area, many of the bikes from the Museum are being re-built in the area by a friend of mine, particularly the Nortons.

The one I am really looking forward to seeing Keith complete is Geoff Dukes old works 350 AJS (which he has asked me to ride and road test Very Happy ) and will be used by the great man himself to ride in to the Museum when it has its re-opening ceremony on the 15th of January 2005!

I'd be up for that, Shade.

Ought to get in touch with Tigs and see what she did about the Tigger Alldus plaque fund which she was sorting out for the Museum before it burned down. Could do something with that Smile

Hmmm, I might be up for that, but its damned cold in January and the weathers not that great.

So if its not snowing or majorly cold expect to see me! Smile.

Wotcha.

Here's a slideshow taken at the museum - about nine months before the fire.

Definately.

Any reason she shouldn't?

As long as I don't crash her between now and then Very Happy

By the time January comes round, she'll have sone shed loads of miles.
