Aprilia RS125 - Excessive smoke when cold and Oily Discharge

Oh Dear,

Less than a week and I'm back.

Son tells me that the bike is blowing white smoke from the exhaust while he's warming it up beofre riding. Also, when he drive off down the road, it smokes quite a bit for a few minutes, then it clears.

I can guess that this could be too much oil in the combustion mixture, but dont know how to reduce it as the oil pipe seems to connect to the the carb and there is no adjustment.

The exhaust end pipe is coated in very black oily liquid. Basically, oil and carbon I would imagine.

Other than this, the bike acutally runs just fine, but I would appreciate any thoughts on this. Top end was rebuilt about 300km ago if that's at all important.

that usualy normal on startup,condensation in the pipe being steamed off


mine had oil on the exhaust but i hardly used it further than 5 miles so i couldn't get it warm enough to burn it off

My Derbi does it aswell. Aslong as it's running sweet it's nothing to worry about.
