I thought that but then did you see the kit he's wearing! Hiking boots, not ideal.

Very impressive and the views are fantastic.

My only efforts of fairly impressive journey (but doesn't look as good here), but no motos and with only a battered 3.2M Ixus:

Always wanted to try something like this to get that kind of shot but never thought it would be possible to just have the camera around my neck! Looks like I'll be trying this on the BCF rideout on the 8th of August then...

Opinion only, but the guy is right over - and the speedos in the pics are typically reading in the 50-60s - and the guys are right near the edge of lean. If they hung off a little, they've had MUCH more control if they needed to make any directional changes quickly.

As it stands, they're riding near the edge for no apparant reason, thus increasing the chances of an absolutely pointless bin.

Never used Canon (Nikon user) but like most expensive SLRs, I imagine it can fire off at least 5fps. The top end Canon SLR can do 10, if I remember correctly. I imagine he's got at least 3 or 4 big cards and is firing off quite often on those rides.

The hardest thing would be focusing as he's shooting blind in most of those (some aren't quite pin sharp), but they're very impressive considering he's driving a damn motorbike at the same time.

And he's a brave bloke for doing it, too. I dropped a Nikon from waist height and the lens ring buckled, so dropping one from a bike moving at those speeds...ouch!

I think he meant that it was hard to explain the general setup of the camera. The advanced settings and how he manages to get sharp pictures at high speeds etc.

I'm pretty sure he's just holding it in his hand as he would not be able to get shots from behind if camera was mounted.

Stunning pictures all of them. I wouldn't have the guts to take one hand off while cornering like he does in some of the shots lol
