My dad drives a BMW 5 sport thingy, a road angel has so far stopped him getting done for speeding, I did tell him he could sod off when he asked for a go on my gixer though.

My dads 55 but rides his SV650 like a 90 year old. He let me have a go one day after i fixed it for him, the thing got the thrashing to deserved Laughing

A mates dad was 85 and senile as fuck, owned some old bike but hadn't been out on it in 10 years. One day he found it in his garage and went out on it. He made it about 3 miles before he ended up in the front of a truck. I hope i go like that Thumbs Up

You decide when you no longer feel fit to drive...which is scarey!! It should be a medical based thing. There have been talks about changing the system...doing some sort of re-test or similar.

But by the time we get there, you can bet your bottom dollar, the age of retirement will stretch out further, and they will deem us unfit for driving before we reach it...so it's going to be buses for us!!! Oh joy!

It is all medical based with retests if necessary. The same rules apply to old people as apply to the rest of the population.

Doctors are meant to tell the DVLA if someone is medically unfit to drive but is continuing to drive. Whether doctors actually do that is another matter.
