...and was still over the limit from last night, so a nice drink and drive charge came my way. Excellent. Went to make an overtake and back end fish-tailed until I ended up on the otherside of the road, up a verge and then on the roof. Booted the door window and was able to squeeze out. I've got layer of skin missing on my hand and a small graze on my arm. Court on Tuesday Thumbs Up

Expecting 12-18 month ban and £400-500, was 59mg. Fucking beer is ruining my life.

And the moral of the story is don't drink so much the night before you know you need to drive early!

How many did you drink the night before, or were you really drinking tramp juice?

U twat Rolling Eyes

Hard lesson to learn, lovey.
Hope you've got a nice pushbike lined up.

They usually offer you a course to get your licence back after 9 months, if you're lucky, its a breeze to sit thru, and you do actually learn about what limits really are about.

Worth sitting thru it for (?6 weeks, I think)
My ex did it and actually did learn a thing or two, and it made him more aware of himself and ultimately of how much he was drinking.

Is the ban for dangerous driving? I thought the legal limit for alcohol was 80mg?

I'm certainly no angel when it comes to driving, but i don't believe in pulling any punches, so here goes:

Basically, you've been a twat, and now you're going to pay the price for it. Consider yourself extremely lucky that it wasn't worse, that your injuries weren't more serious, and that no other vehicles or innocent bystanders were involved.
I've skirted the borderline of alcoholism myself, and it's a shit place to be. You need to sort yourself out and do it now.
Take your experience today as a great big fucking warning sign on the crossroads of life, man up, face your problem and deal with it.

Thumbs Up

In the blood it is but they usually test your breath, that's only 35 microgrammes. I drive for a living and we get random drink and drugs tests so if i'm working the next day I don't drink, simple as that.

The Legal Limit

The UK legal limit for drivers is 80 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood, often referred to as a BAC or blood-alcohol concentration. In US terms this would be expressed as 0.08%. This is alternatively expressed in terms of breath alcohol - 35 µg (microgrammes) per 100 ml (which is now the usual official measure in the UK), or alcohol in the urine - 107 mg per 100 ml.

You must have missed Emergency Bikers last night. Dude got a random pull and was steaming from the night before. 59mg. 12month ban and £440 fine. Bad times.

Bugger!
At least you'll get fit cycling Smile

Out of interest how much had you drunk? when did you stop? and what time was you tested?

I never really know when I'm ok to drive again.
I've tried one of those silly keyring tester things but I can't even set it off when I'm on the verve of passing out so they obviously aren't very reliable.

So if you knew you might be over the limit, why did you stay with the car long enough for the police to turn up ?

Couldnt you have done a runner or something ?

Glad no one else was hurt tho, or at least none that you mentioned.

Don't you normally get on your high horse about people pulling wheelies past a pub?

This crazed alcoholic thought it'd be a good idea to overtake at break neck speeds whilst intoxicated, the only place this felon will be drinking now is in the cafeteria...in PRISON.
