2 Ubuntu installations

Few months ago i installed ubuntu, it messed up so i asked on the ubuntu forums how to remove it and they were no help at all. Confused

So i just installed another partition and ran along with that until that messed up and wouldn't open any music files. Rolling Eyes

Asked on the ubuntu forums and they were no help at all again. Neutral

So ive been back to XP for the past month and was wondering if anyone on here knew how i would go about un-insgtalling the the partitions and re-using them for XP?

you can blank/format the linux partitions with anything really, even the tool on the XP setup disc.

youll need a 3rd party application to expand the XP partition to take up the space in the other partitions though. partitionmagic i think used to be good for this.

Partition magic will do it, but so will the ubuntu installation disks. Just expand the Xp partition until it takes up the whole disk and click apply. It will take a while to do as resizing partitions always does.

The ubuntu forum doesn't want to know unless its a development related bug. The forums seems to be used as a form of mass participation testing rather than a newbie help zone.
