Firefox and BCF

A couple of things that I've noticed since using Firefox as opposed to IE...

Hovering over a Karma blob doesn't tell me 'how' a thread is rated - Funny, Informative, Spam, etc.

The 'go back one page' button doesn't refresh the forum when returning to the list of threads.

When inserting an emoticon it appears at the end of your typed text - not a problem unless you've re-read your prose and decided to insert one further up the page.

Can anyone suggest any add-ons to resolve these petty issues?

The hovering doesn't work because the blobs have alt tags and not title tags.

IE will use an alt tag as a title tag if the title tag isn't present.

I don't know of any easy solution to your problem, greasemonkey scripts will work i guess.

Hi

IEs insistance on reloading pages is one major reason to avoid it. It is dog slow at the best of times, and doing reloads makes that even worse.

Also, BCF caches page views, so the chances are that if you do just go back quickly to the forum index it will just return the cached copy from when you last viewed it.

I suggest.. use Opera. It's bloody marvellous. used it for years. makes internet surfing so much easier, quicker etc.

unfortunately i can't actually contribute any helpful advise as far as FF goes
