Well Me and SummY are thinking of having a midweek rideout this tuesday.

Anyone wishing to join us is very welcome, we'll arrange a meeting point nearer the time or we can just meet at Siddington or Tesco Congleton depending on whose coming. Smile

Did have a ride across last Sunday and found the lake (eventually). Only saw a little bit of rain on the way home on the A34 (how cheeky is the speed camera in the trees).
I am busy tuesday so won't be riding across but probably going down to MotoGP.

It pissed down here last sunday, hence why I didn't venture out and mostly when the rest didn't come either.

I haven't decided yet, although it will possibly be a yes. I can get to Siddington Lake by 6.30pm, although it's tempting to go to work on the bike (the lake is on my way home)..however I have parking issues so I think I'll resist the temptation...

I'll let you know for sure tomorrow, but don't base your plans round me or anything (not that you would! Wink )

Will you lot be at Siddington Lake at 6.30pm if I decide to go?

Well that was fun Very Happy

As soon as we started up to the Cat and Fiddle I could see the black clouds rolling in, but it was too late to turn back. By the time I reached the pub it had started to slat it down and there was thick fog. They have put tarmac down on the C & F carpark and put in a speed bump...I'm sure that will not go down too well with some of the regulars, it took me by surprise (and Craig too, so he tells me!). Had time for a cuppa in the pub, but wanted to get going before the rain/fog got any worse.

The way home was scary, it was raining hard and there were pools of water in the roads. I went home the Bosley Crossroads way, which (if anyone knows it) is a very windey and challenging road. I just took it really, really slow.

I'm drenched but it was fun! Shame others couldn't make it. Maybe next time??

I enjoyed it too Karen and thanks for the coke Smile.

That bloody speed hump nearly knocked me off bloody thing!

I didn't get to wet, probably cos I was riding to fast for it to hit me Laughing.

Also it was quite a nice ride up, the road being empty (and dry) no caravans in site or a cars or police for that matter Smile.

Just shows you what a good time to go on that road is!

Hopefully next time a few more peeps would show up too Smile!

Hi

Im kinda glad i went when i did then, it were quite nice.

I learned my lesson the first time with that speed bump, did try to warn you about that.. https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=28749

Sorry i missed it on the other hand though, would of been my first bcf meet.

Aside from getting stuck behind a police car after the pub i enjoyed it. Just after i gave it a clean and oil it started to rain and missed your message on msn by about 5 mins craig.

Next week sometime maybe?
