green laning ride report 24th July 2010 - G was there too!

G and I took on some laning today.

Sadly fairly early on, G got a puncture, we did try some of that spray-in stuff, but it didn't work, so it put an end to his day.

I did however continue on and completed the rest of the route on my lonesome ....

Bearing in mind that G had road biased tyres on his bike, in very brief summery, G is 'wrong in the head'

I haven't looked into it, but I suspect we let a bit too much air out of the inner sealing tube while trying to pump it up, as it seems to be this that's gone - which explains the very sudden loss of pressure and why it couldn't be ridden on at all. Normally with tubliss you can still ride with a totally flat tyre (as I pretty much was before the repair.)

And glad I missed the sand actually - I remember that from last time and it was a bit 'concerning' with the road tyres (as was the beach I explored in Spain, though that was with a load of extra weight on the back.)

Where abouts was this? Only a couple of those pics looks identical to some bridleways I've gone mountain biking on previously (although I bet alot of people would say that ).

Ah, not at all where I was thinking. Just weird that the second pic looks exactly like a brilliant bit of lane near me.
Anyway, looks like fun, up until the puncture. Really would love to do some off-roading, just a case of finding the right (=cheap) little bike and finding some lanes.
