I have a carbon can co exhaust...
Its got a baffle welded into it, and its a standard length one.

I want to stubby it/get someone to do it for me etc? how much is this likely to cost...also the welded baffle...would i have to find a db killer instead as im guessing this would need to be drilled out?

Anyone up for performing such a job..let me know Karma Thumbs Up

Last one I did:

Drill out rivets, remove bands.
Remove sleeve.
Remove end-cap and packing.
Cut baffle to length.
Re-fit sleeve.
Re-pack, fit end-cap.
Mark sleeve for cutting, remove, cut, re-fit.
Drill holes, fit new bands and rivet.

Half an hour's work or so.

Don't really need much tools - hacksaw, a ruler, a drill and a rivet gun Thumbs Up

Can buy all of them for under £30 at B&Q

True, but i wont use them again.

Im not one for buying tools/doing repairs. I'll do them if i really have to, like Nemo's bike, quick fixes etc...but im not going to chop my only exhaust Laughing i'll ruin it! Crying or Very sad

I could do it if you cared to drive to Gravesend with it. I'm cleaning out my workshop today as it's a right shit-tip but I can spare half an hour to butcher your can.

Are you sure its welded in and not just pop rivetted at the outlet?

I'd sell it and use the cash to get a different one on eBay.

Paddy, did you look at mine when we were at Molly's BBQ. That was the standard chopped in half. Cost me a bottle of Southern Comfort, but that was after mate said he'd do the job for free. I know SC is his fave tipple...

Depending on when you're back here, might be able to help out with that.

Meant to drop you a note about that - I'm going to be away from Thursday to Sunday, though someone will be in until Saturday morning at least.

Won't be around 'till Monday in the early hours.

I'm in no rush either way, got enough other bikes that I'm at best using to get the shopping in Smile.
