DT 125 1983 lc liquid cool engine problems

HI my dt was going fine until one day i rode it and when i was riding it started missing when i had the throttle fully open
then i noticed that there was oil coming out from the spark plug
My origonal thought was that the rings were shot but when i took off the head i saw they were fine but the head gasket was in three peices that means it had blown I also noticed that their was water in the crank is that from the head gasket been broken or is the water pump seal also poked i dont know too much about two stroke motors how does one do the timming on the motor when put back together as there is no timming chain or belt must the piston be TDC and thats all

There's no timing to worry about - CDI. Just sounds like a case of a blown gasket. Clean everything up, replace the top end gaskets (and plug, to be on the safe side), and it should be fine, fingers crossed.

I would recomend using an original Yamaha gasket and not a pattern one. Might be worth lapping the head and barrel in too. Also, re-torque the head after you've ran the bike for a few miles.
