Who is going?

Who are you most looking forward too?

For me it is: -

Motley Crue, Rammstein, Placebo, Corey Taylor, Pendulum and SoulFly. amongst others

Oh and the comedy looks epic... Tim Minchin, Sean Hughes and Jim Jeffries

Free tickets, so I'm going. Smile

Looking forward to Rammstein the most, and of course my boys on Sunday.

Pretty much the same here except I'm not cool enough to be able to call them "my boys". The person I'm going with is quite disturbingly into Maiden, I suspect the main reason I'm chaperoning for the weekend is that I'm big enough to get to and hold a space near the front. Expecting to be bruised on Monday Laughing

Got camping tickets on eBay last year for £20. Loved the easy ride to the front of the car park, bypassing all the traffic Very Happy

Planning on doing the same this year, though if no cheap tickets come up, I will probably not bother.

Anyone got any tickets for sale?

I live about 5 miles from Knebworth....so anyone wanting to ride down and leave the bike in my garage is welcome, or just to park here and save the £10 parking.....

Give me a shout!

Ideally I'm after 2 weekend tickets if anyone has any!

I'm going up on the Thursday if my tickets ever get here - poxy See Tickets Rolling Eyes

Going up on the bike and meeting a load of mates up there as they are taking my tent (it's too big for the bike), I will have everything else with me just so i feel like im going touring even if it is only 3 hours up the road Laughing

I've seen a fair few of the bands playing but looking forward to Alice in Chains, Motley Crue, Anthrax, Soulfly, Fear Factory, Terrorvision, Therapy and Alice Cooper for the lulz Laughing

I don't "get" iron maiden. I have seen them about 3 times as they have been at festivals I have been at but I just don't like them.

Is there something wrong with me?

I do like some IM tracks, but wasn't so impressed with them live myself - however their proper fans seriously love it, so they're obviously doing something right Smile.

Think some of the tickets here are less than original price for the weekend maybe?...

So for people that have gone before - what's it like compared to other festivals (reading and glasto are my usual fare, but been to various little ones like the big chill etc)?
Specifically camping - are you allowed fires, gas cookers?
How easy is it to sneak drinks into the main arena?

Anyone had 'guest' tickets before? What do you get with them?
What's car parking like with/without guest tickets?

Yup, You can bring small and disposable bbq’s for use in the communal bbq pits Confused

This is my first time at sonisphere, I'm more used to Donnington but it can't be that different I guess. Plus I'm taking my daughter for her first festival experience.

Are you allowed meths stoves?

Going to be on a bit of a budget, so don't really want to be eating a lot of bought food.

Not sure,

According to the T & C's it says;
16. Only solid fuels are permitted for cooking purposes. No gas or spirit fuels.

This might be of some help also, Don't know if you need to register to look though.

Alice Cooper, Alice in Chains, Skindred, Skunk Anansie, and many more. Must see Rollins too.

People were going nuts last year because they'd not really publicised the £20 OTG parking charge. We rolled up on the bikes, got charged nowt, and were directed to the far end of the parking field by the gates next to the 24 hour security post.. Definitely travelling light this year as it's quite a hike from the bike to to the camping, plus the Mrs can't make it so I've no reason to change me undercrackers all weekend anyway...... so if you see a bloke being buzzed by a thousand flies getting onto a ZRX12 on Monday morning, that'll be me. you can take solid fuel stoves such as gel and hexiblock... Gel are excellent.

For food i am taking a box of protein bars. Will also take a kettle to brew up with.

There will be communal bbq pits but they can fook off if they think i am using them.

Is it worth spending the extra few quid for a poor unemployed person? Smile
Though, apparently 'guests' can park by their tents, so might just use my gas powered bbq in the van Smile.

Incidentally, if anyone needs stuff taking from Reading area (unlikely,I know), probably taking the van up, so happy to chuck stuff in.

For Gel? absolutely... It works out cheaper as you can put them out and use it again as many times as it will last.
