Can a blog owner see visitors browse history?

I browse many erotic sites. But I don't want my friends to know this.
When I browse my friends blogs without proxy, can he / she somehow know my browse history through IP or something?
Is it possible?
If so, how can I avoid it? Do I have to use proxy?
How do you cope with this problem?
p.s. my friends can't touch my PC directly. Can some of you see my browse history? Even if so, please let me know yes or no only. please don't write urls.

Yes, there's browser history available in the document object model, as well as a referrer object which is the page you were last on before visiting a page.

[edit] just reread your question - no, I can't see your browsing history from here, but if you were to visit one of the web pages on my site, then yes I could.

As far as I know, you can only do anything with that tab (or the one page before if you open the window in a new tab/window by clicking on a link).
So if you open a new tab then go to a site, they will get nothing.

If some one was very clever, I can see they might be able to find the address of previous site you have visited in that tab, but they would have to be pretty clever about it and it would be prone to cause problems which might make it obvious they were spying on you.

It is possible to get quite a comprehensive list of sites you have visited via a css vulnerability.

But in a nut shell, when you have visited a link it will normally change colour in your browser (e.g. not visited blue, visited purple).

A list of links combined with Javascript and CSS can figure out where you have been. But, unless you are logged into your friends blog, they will just know where an IP address has been.
