Looking on ebay and seen these.

I'd be careful with those, they may possibly explode or something stupid after a few weeks usage!

What else would you expect for that price.

They work just fine but there's a couple of problems with them, I had a normal button operated 1gb one years ago which was perfect, I replaced it after it was stolen at work (think they were desperate for my awesome 80's music collection). The replacement was an ipod touch clone, the problem was it was controlled purely by a touch screen and the calibration kept failing badly after a while, the touch sensing would be so far offset that half the buttons would be uncontrollable making it useless as anything other than a flash drive, it's now permanently fubar and I use it as an 8gb flash drive for the truck with a usb lead.

There may be a similar problem with these and their touch button/wheel, i'd personally go for one with proper buttons for all functions, the menus are usually piss poor and hard to understand but they work fine for playing songs.

The other problem is hacked memory, always do a full memory scan using software designed for it or fill it up with videos and check they all work as soon as you get it as lots have fake capacity, even sellers known to be good have hacked ones mixed into their stock.

what i love about the ad...

I count 6? Laughing

But yea, not fantastic quality, might last 6 months at best...my cheapy copy from years ago lasted about 6 and cracked in half Shocked

But my current fat ipod 60gb photo has been down the road more times than my bike and despite the immense scratching AND dents, it still rolls on Smile

Cheap electronics are always either stolen or shit. Doesn't seem stolen, in fact I'd wager that they legitimately own ALL of the shit.

I'd be more tempted to stump up a few more £££s and buy a sony unit:

I have a Sony, sounds great, lots of functions, cost a lot less than an equivalent gaypod and best of all NO ITUNES!!!

God I hate iTunes, it irritates me with it's taking files out of the harmony I had them arranged in my folder, and scattering them throughout my library, so I must pick them out and not enjoy that music in my library at all. If it wasn't for my iPhone depending on it's use it would be removed from my WMP loving pc immediately, and never to return, bloody Apple not supporting drag and drop.

Or you could just have turned that off when you installed itunes.

Do Sony still use the Sony Connect software for their mp3 players? I found that as annoying as iTunes.

No and they haven't done for years. Either drag and drop or can use windows media player 10+.
My sony is about 3 years old now, still in perfect working order.

What gets me is how many people use itunes when it is so shockingly awful.

Even if they don't have an ipod!

Is it possible to do it now? I'm pretty sure I selected to arrange stuff manually?

You could always buy a broken Ipod and the parts to fix it for less.

I did it recently, i got a Ipod nano 3rd gen with a faulty screen for £15 then the screen for £5 and fixed it myself, so in total including postage i spent £23.99 for a 4G ipod nano.

I bought one of the fake iPods off eBay and it was beyond useless.

It played music, yes, but the interface on it was so awful that it took a good 10 seconds to change between songs. If you wanted to change to a different album you'd be there all day clicking away trying to get to the right menu to select another album, then a load more clicking and you may have got some music.

I use iTunes. It's kind of ok I guess.

Need to get Winamp back onto this PC but I'm just too lazy.

I don't get why it won't play certain downloaded songs, but will play others. Very strange.
