Would've thought it'd be a bit of a PITA, necessitating wheels off particularly for the MX'er. That and the high load base would annoy me.

More to the point, I wouldn't buy a Connect after my mate's one went pop - some sort of known fault (found out afterwards) where though everything seems fine, oil doesn't get through to where it needs to be. Can find out more details for you if you're interested.

Moto Guzzi V50 (quite small ) just goes in without the cage thing folded away so you should be alright with most things on length with it folded-can't remember height though.

Max load length 2003mm/2714mm it says here: https://www.ford-van.com/transit-connect-lwb.html for the long wheel base.
I presume that's going in to the cabin too for the bigger measurement.

Some googling shows bikes likes around 2130 to 2310mm - so with the bike a bit sideways should be ok, especially if you let the front wheel stick in to the cabin a bit.

I've wondered about smaller vans in the past, but I reckon my ideal solution would be a SWB transit with a folding bed on one side and a done up 7.5t for more involved stuff - though I have neither the space, money or licence to do this.

i fit a r6 and ducati 749 in there, doors dont shut properly so we have to tie them together. Get loads of comments from people at track days saying how the f**k do we get them in there. Gotten pretty good at it now, can load all the bikes and gear in the van in about 15mins.

When looking at the maximum load length remember that you can put the bike in diagonally so you can pinch a bit more length.

I've never tried with a connect but neither a CBR600 nor an XT350 will go in the back of a berlingo unless it doesn't have a bulkhead between the cabin and the load space and you can move the passenger seat forward. It's close though so if you don't mind having the doors open a bit you might be alright.

mx bikes will go in a connect, dropping them through the forks abit will help the height issue.

You'd need to take the front wheel off to fit an MXer in there. Wink Laughing

And if you're going for a big'un, general consensus is to go for the similar sized LWB Iveco/Sprinter vans (the XLWB Iveco is even bigger).
