I would guess that civilization would not thrive, autistic people tend to be unable to comprehend the concept of money for instance, amongst many other things, but taking money as the example, if you asked someone with autism if they would like to buy a magazine for £1 they might say ok, if you told them the price was £200, they would still say ok.... the ability to assign value to things is absent. Also communication is limited, in terms of making idle conversation like most folk would, autistic people tend to only ask questions relevant to them at any given time, and will tend to answer in a yes or no manner if asked a yes or no question, I doubt you would get much response if say you were to ask an opinion on something. Also, multiple choice questions are no good either, more than 2 choices and the ability to weigh up the pro's and cons of each option seems to be absent. I could go on and on, but taking these things alone and applying them across the board, I think it;s clear that, were the whole world autistic, things would not progress much.
Then again, evolution+ nature finds a way.....who knows?

Yeah some good points, i think i should have mentioned that i was thinking along the lines of....we as a race have reached this point. Now imagine that we left the planet and everyone left was autistic.
How would things run?
We know that autism has it’s strange attributes...some of which are actually quite staggering. Like numerical skills, or artistic abilities.

I have in the past and have at the moment have as a friend a person with Asberghers. He's perfectly able to work out the value of money and items in a shop, he is startling honest and has no guile so would tell you to fuck right off if you tried to sell him a magazine for £200.
You get them in a vegatitive state and almost normal and everything in between.
Speaking specifically about the guy I know, he's 16, strongly opinionated and well able to make small talk although it can be about very odd things. If the world was filled with autistic people near him on the spectrum, I think it would be a hell of a lot more successful than it currently is.
If you smell he'd tell you, if you told him he smelled, he'd be completely unoffended. With Asbeghers (or atleast with that form of Autism) the ability to read other people and social cues are missing.
Personally, I find him to be refreshingly honest and pragmatically intelligent. The only downside would be the small talk, it would be quite tedious but then evereyon else would be autistic so would just say so and no one be offended; they'd just go away.
My old manager predicted we're all going that way anyway and going by a lot of folk working in this big NHS office; I'd have to agree.

Very true, I was speaking from my own direct experience, I can;t really comment reliably on experience I do not have now can I? I've met other people with less or more degrees of Aspergers syndrome, but haven't sat down with them for extended periods of time, therefore any observations of them would be largely assumption and speculation. I'll put IME in front of things from now to make it easier for you
