My favourite british car noise has to be the BRM 16 cylinder from the 50's. I saw and heard one in the flesh, nothing has ever hurt my ears than much before or since!

Just did a quick Google and accidentally came on this Keith's Manx Norton.
He was a gentleman and a friend and he thrashed me on the track on that bike. It is his son burning the tyre out at his funeral. It has made my cry.
