I had a go on many bikes within this category and decided this was the best for me, so here it is.

Obligatory dodgy phone picture Thumbs Up -

Nice!

I'm deciding between the R version or an R6 for my next bike.

Handling is similar. Monster feels a little physically smaller and maybe a tad more racier in it's position. Handling I prefer the Triple, the Monster still has that slightly lazy steering Ducati trait, the Street still tracks well but feels sharper and more flickable. Monster probably has slightly better build quality, but not enough in it to bother me.

Engine wise is where it feels a world apart. The Triple has loads more go up top. Down low it feels better too, whereas the monster feels lumpy if it's in the wrong gear. I can pull 25mph smoothly on the triple in 5th without a problem.

So no competition for me. This is also with the standard Street, let alone the R with radials and adjustable suspesion.

Looks great.

Not sure I'm a fan of the big shiney standard cans, weren't they doing Arrows cans for it quite cheaply recently?

Dont know about cheap arrows, there's lots of cans available for them and much cheaper than Arrow's. The standard look fine to me, better in person than that pic, and they sound ok as well. They warm your bum/thighs a bit in traffic but nothing too bad for me so I have not intention to change them.

Cool, fair play. I think the Arrows were the "official" ones that Triumph offered when new so some dealers just threw them in with the bike. Thumbs Up

I've seen then with Ti Arrows and the standard cans. Personally I prefer the Arrows, but that's just me.

The 3 into 1 Arrow 'race' system sounds orgasmic.
