My Bandit is called Sylvester, my Virago is called Henry and my RXS is called Wee Harry.

All my bikes are men, because they are all bloody-minded and unreliable!

All ships are she with the exception of one, the bismark.
All bikes are female unless they had a turbo/supercharger/NOS in which case they become male as such mutilation cannot be classed as female

My bike is also female, she's cranky & unreliable when cold but purrs once she gets warmed up!

She is called Mallard, as she's a little Kwaka and she pulls like a train (ask your mum and dad young 'uns who don't live near York......)

my bike's definitely male. But I didn't answer the forum because it's not male because lesbian issues making it not female, it just seems much more masculine than feminine to me!

And he's called Brett. I have no idea why, it's not very Ninja-like, that's just what he decided to be called...

My current bike is most definately a girl... normally she is called "old girl" or "beauty", and occasionally "little bitch".

My old bike was male, because he wasn't in the slightest bit curvy and had a tendancy to grunt.

it depends on the bike:

they are female if they cost a fortune, break down every month, and they never let you ride em again if you go near another bike and they get stropy when you look at other bikes.

Bloke if it dont wanna start in the morning, drinks and smokes a lot but keeps on going as long as you keep petrol in it!

no im gonna run getting chased by angry ladies on bikes in leather

not a bad way to go Thumbs Up

Curiously enough, I feel as though I'm an odd-one-out, cos I've never named a vehicle in my life (and I've had a few).

I'm VERY fond of my latest bike, a Super Tenere 750 - it reminds me of one of my best mates, big and sexy and ever so slightly dangerous Shocked But I wouldn't dream of designating it with either a gender OR a name.

Its just "me bike".

And I lurve it.

My bikes called Henry and he's male Razz.

I've named most of my bikes down the last 3 letters on the Number plate, HNE = Henry, LSE (my lasy bike) Leslie, and TOK = Tokky Razz.

I am undecided on the gender of my supermoto as yet, hasn't shown me its full personality (I suppose it is a netuer at the minute until my new engine arrives)

My Jawa is definatley female; fickle, willful and unpredictable. I have not arrived at a name for it unless you count "you vicious bastard" shouted in a Basil Fawlty style which seems to be what I mostly call it...that's no name for a lady though Smile

I don't think it matters what sex the rider is, the gender of the bike will become apparent through living with it.

Funnily enough, Henry was about six years old before he told me what his name was.
