any one watch it tonight? thought it worked alright actually and was worth the watch

potential spolier;
didn't like the forcing of mycroft/moriaty into the story and the curtailing of the cabbies reasons, but i'd guess its so eijits don't get confused as new characters have to come in in later stories.

I was worried it would clash with Top Gear tonight, but it seems there is no TG! Yay! (for the not clashing, rather than the no TG...)

Sherlock is on 8:30 until 10:00 and top gear is on BBC 2 at 9:30 so I'm going to miss TG. Also going to have to watch Big Brother an hour behind on channel 4 +1 because of Sherlock aswell. What am I going to do with myself. Rolling Eyes

I haven't seen it nor the trailers... but my friend did explain it. As a pile of shit.

The whole idea of Sherlock is he's ahead of his time... yet this is the modern day where he isn't ahead of his time... Neutral

Like I said, I haven't seen it, (will give it a watch before I say it's shit) but my friends statement rings true...

I saw a bit of it, whats the premise though, has he travelled forward in time?

I wouldn't normally watch this type of thing anyway, I thought it was quite formulaic though, having the down-trodden, comedy relief, side kick is a bit of a cliche.

But like I said, I don't watch that kind of thing.

Thumbs Up

They're alright, worth watching but a bit annoying at times. Holmes is such a smug know it all little fuck that you just want to punch. Much of the element of mystery and suspense is removed by him walking into a room for 3 seconds then summing up exactly what happened by pointing out a million tiny details he has already noticed that you had zero chance to notice yourself. A good mystery should be solvable by the viewer from the clues, rather than not being shown the clues, then having some arrogant twat spell it all out for you in baby speak like your a 5 year old.
