Exhausts? Been looking around and it doesn't seem like theres much to replace the standard twin exhausts on a zzr600? Was wondering if anyone knew of any that sound nice/offer performance gains?

Much appreciated,

you could go with a zx6r exhaust ok jetting would be required,
but it should be a fairly easy fit,
go for the older model zx6 than your zzr
eg if your zzr is a 05-08 then get the zx6r exhaust from a 98-02
etc etc

ZZR's don't really like 4-1's or loud cans on the standard pipework.

Is there any reason for that?

Also whilst looking, I've seen:

1) https://www.wemoto.com/bikes/Kawasaki/ZZR_600_ZX_600_E4-E9/96-01/picture/Venom_Complete_System/

and

2) https://www.wemoto.com/bikes/Kawasaki/ZZR_600_ZX_600_E4-E9/96-01/picture/Motad_Complete_Nexxus_System/

would either of those be a good purchase? I can understand from the stainless point of view but would they offer much in performance?

Is there any other alternatives I could take into consideration?

Many thanks,

Perry

I had a random Micron can on mine, 4:1 though no ideas what the headers were.

I had a twin Delkevik exhaust on my ZZR, looked decent, sounded nice enough without the baffles and was only about £180 brand new, cant find them on e-gay now though!!

there's a viper system for £220 - https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-KAWASAKI-ZZR600-ZZR-600-ZX600-VIPER-RACE-CANS-93-04-/190407802288?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2c55307db0

Hi

4>1 exhausts on ZZR600s seem to make them a bit flat in the mid range, and then pick up around 8000rpm (which is 100 in top). The Micron system is nicely made but does suffer this. If your 4>2 is still useable (they tend not to last well) then keep it.

All the best

Keith

I agree with keith on this one.

There's no point in spending (wasting) 200 quid on something that will reduce the performance of your bike.
