Rewired light switch & MOT

Quick (daft) question really.
My light switch was faulty, so being the lazy git I am, I just stuck the wires together inside the switch so it's always on (I had the lights on all the time anyway...) Will it pass an MOT like this?
IE lights working but switch...not.

They check to see if your lights work, not the switch.
the only part that does is the Hi / Low function

Thanks for that, I thought that was the case but wasn't 100% sure.
High beam/Low Beam switch works fine too so all set..mind you, lots more that can go wrong between now and October lol
