ok finally got it done, doing a 3 hours lesson tomorrow, 1 hour on a mod 1 test area on friday, and mod 1 test on sunday afternoon, worried about how i'll take to the er5, hoping its a bit more stable at slow speeds than my xr125, apart from that just need to get my observations and indications up to scratch, so heres hopin!

so any tip yous 'experts' have for me? cheers

good luck.

i think the best advice anyone can give you is to just take it easy and listen to the instructors.

you will find the bike is a lot more stable than the 125 even at low speeds. the extra weight does help, oddly enough.

the ER5 is a great bike for learning on, thats why the majority of training schools use them.

look on youtube for the various videos covering mod 1 and 2, they will help lots.

and dont forget to come back and tell us all how you got on

just back from my 3 hour lesson, was absolutly spectacular!!!! the way it breezed to 70 was infectious!

instructor said my manouvers were fine, so barring any nosebleeds the mod 1 will be a formality, and as i thought my observations were the only thing that need worked on, but not far off

cant get over how much more stable the er was over my xr, really easy to ride slowly, and the power! i kno you'll all say it crap compared to a litre or somethin similar, but compared to the 125 its was stunnin, not a chance im holdin onto the 125 after the test now! will be gone asap and gettin somethin bigger! cannot fuckin wait!!!!!!

Good luck your big test.

We don't have DAS over here but I passed my Mod 2 on Friday there. Best feeling every driving home on the bike knowing that I don't have to worry about the test any more.

well done on mod 1.

remember the checks on mod 2, and when you do the likes of hill starts, angled starts and pulling away from the side of the road..... take a good look and make sure you see if anything is coming.
