My beautiful blue and sliver (custom paint work) 08 Hayabusa was stolen today! I am really gutted Sad I only had it for a few months, and had put tons of time and effort into making it really beautiful bah....

Registration: ST08 UOK

Stolen from Greenwich, London today, August 4th. The police say it could turn up anywhere in the UK, so even if you are not in London and you see a bike like this, it could be it.

Please keep an eye open for it. And if anyone sees it around...please report it to the police or get back to me here.
If anyone sees anything like it for sale, on a forum, on ebay etc - please let me know!

Here are a few things which make the bike easy to spot

1: Blue and Silver Custom paintwork. The design is the same as a gen I Hayabusa but its a gen II (2008), but the colour is deep blue and silver, not the mauve blue of the gen I. Therefore very rare.

2: Clearwater Auxilary Lights either side of the front wheel: These are ultra bright LEDs.

3: "Suzuki" isnt written on the bike.

4: Flashing Headlight Modulator. The headlight flashes automatically in daylight...so if you see a hayabusa with a flashing headlight, its probably my one!

Overall, its a bike which catches the eye.

Here are some pics to help identify it. (How do I make the photos show up in this post?)

Many thanks
Rosso

Bikes like that are very very rarely kept in 1 piece. IT will likely be broken up and sold for spares. So keep an eye out on ebay.

Unlucky. Realistically, it's highly unlikely that someone off here will spot it, but you never know....some knobber pushed my girlfriend's bike past me in broad daylight about a month after it went walkies.

It's distinctive, so hopefully you'll get it back Thumbs Up

Why on Earth would you have one of these fitted to your bike?

I'll keep an eye out for it if that will do any good. There seems to have been quite a few "my bikes been nicked" threads on here lately Sad

Will keep an eye out but I don't think I'll be of much assistance up here.

Will keep an eye out nonetheless man, and fingers crossed it turns up somewhere and it comes back to you in one piece!

I agree but probably not the place to discuss it. Ive just watched a video of one on Youtube and it looks like a glancing dozy driver might just give you the 'thumbs up of thanks' and pull out on you!

To the OP, Im so sorry to hear that your 'busa has gone. As an ex Hayabusa owner myself Im not a massive fan of the looks of the gen 2 but in those colours I think the front end looks awesome, take note Suzuki!

Theres probably not going to be a good outcome unfortunately. Personally if its fully ensured Id be happier it stays gone and I get paid out than it comes back in a state, worth less than before and with a very tainted history.

So gutted for you Sad

Sound advice and I hope they string the thief up by his bollox. Unless its a girl thief of course, in which case they can sew bollox on and hang her up by them.

It won't be broken up but you won't get it back. I'tll have the VIN plate restamped and be sold in europe (probably eastern europe) before you can say doppelkupplungengetreibe.

I cannot imagine why anyone would go to the trouble of stealing that bike - just to break it up. It has about 3.5K miles on the clock. Everything works perfectly. It looks stunning. I would think it has either been stolen to order - or as Marjay says it is heading for a niche market in the wild east. ...but I am still hoping its going to turn up!

Here is a question though - can you guys think of any good ways I can publicise the theft? I have posted it up on bike forums, and on facebook (please put link on your facebook page if you have one). I thought of writing to spray shops and suzuki dealers....anything else you guys can think of?

Many thanks for the support.
Cheers

Why would anyone steal anything? Unless it was a pro 'done to order job' then they would have trouble shifting it on as a whole. We don't know the circumstances of it all but if three blokes threw it in the back of a van on the offchance then selling it in bits is 100% profit, I dont think they'd give a shit how nice a bike it was to start with.

Anyone remember the thread where the guy had his lock up broken into for his brand new R6. The thing was locked up pretty tight so they stole all the plastics and clocks and lights and anything they could get off it? Thats the kind of scumbags that are kicking about.

Again, Im really sorry about your loss but if its gone, it should stay gone. The only thing you want really is for mr scumbuzzard to get nicked and get his comunity service. I really really wouldnt want a stolen bike back! Confused

Maybe you should have put a couple of hundred quid into fitting it with Tracker, and improving the security with decent chains, groundanchors and garages.

Good luck with the insurance, hope they settle soon.

I will definitely get Tracker. Annoyingly I was looking for this kind of system just a few weeks back, but could only find USA GPS tracking devices. Had I heard about Tracker, I would have spent the money on it.
