Just given it its 2nd wash since picking it up and also gave it a bit of a once over with the polish and some T-Cut on the worst of the scratches until such time as find some replacement panels.

Work so far has consisted of removing rubbish inforad GPS thing which was fitted with a cable tie every couple of cms all cross the bike, bleeding through the brakes, bendix MMR front pads, new Scorpion race can (no baffle) and link pipe Twisted Evil fitting heel plates as it didn't have any for some reason, new tinted screen on order. After that just keeping my eye on ebay for cheap panels for a while, bit of service work when i get round to it (all seems to have done fairly recently but i'm never happy until it has been done by me!) and then just enjoy riding it!

Its so much more me than the XJR1300 it replaced Smile

Looks good, panels look fine, I'd leave it like that and spend the money on non cosmetic servicing. Thumbs Up

It looks like mid panel and the nose cone are different shades of red.

That is all that matters, Ebay will have some Chinese fairings for about £300 seem to be hit or miss on quality though, at least it will look snazzy

It's a Penske shock. Have the receipt for it, think it was around £500 a couple of years back.

Tidy bike, like everyone else has said dont bother getting the fairings done, only reason im going to be doing my fairings over winter is that they have a gaping hole in the front cowl, otherwise i wouldnt bother Very Happy

Though, may i suggest 1 thing? perhaps paint the hugger black? I think it would much better Thumbs Up

It had been my initial plan to paint the hugger black but then i found a few cans of red spraypaint which turned out to be near as dammit kawa firecracker red so thought i would give it few quick coats to see what it looked like in red. I actually think i like it.

Will give black a go when the red starts flaking off as i did no prep work on it! Mr. Green

I would paint the Cowl black too mate, would contrast nicely with the wheels.

You might want to replace the subframe though, it looks twisted.
