Seems fair to me. Laughing

Saw one of these in the flesh at the margate meltdown, didn't look so good. Physically quite big so I'm not sure what the point is.

I get the unmarked sports bikes to chase sports bikes
I get the marked DRZs for chasing people on nicked peds/through estates/roughened areas.
I get the unmarked big saloons for general high speed cruising.

But as said I don't get how these are going to be good. It can't filter and still gets wet. Also, if they are trying to appeal to that demographic, I'd imagine it's not particularly large.

Was wondering what the hell these things are, there's something similar in a shop near me. had a closer look to see it was a quad with the price tag of £40,000!

Looks like amazing fun but you could buy 4x BMW E46 M3's for that, but if you've got money to burn i suppose. The performance is good for a 'quad' but not £40,000 good, but then again how fast can these things go safely.

I think the point is that it excites a bit of interest (criticism is still interest) at bike shows etc, then they get to 'engage' with the biking public.

That's how they'll tell it to the bosses anyway - the cops themselves probably just enjoy riding the thing!

It's the same as the occasional marked R1 or Blade or Lambourghini - not very practical but a good talking point, especially if they're a free loan from the manufacturer - as this is.

I'm in north London and they appear to have given all the local fake police those wanky scooters with 2 wheels at the front, had to pull up next to one on edgware rd to ask him if he'd like to turn round and deal with the deranged gentleman who was dancing in the middle of the crossroads that he driven past and failed to notice!

I've just noticed the guy in the mobility scooter behind the copper in the top pic. That copper is just rubbing it in. "Mines cooler than yours". Razz

The community police officers round our way have been riding on those MP3 bikes with the two wheels at the front. Not sure if it is an improvement over the scooters they were riding before.

I've seen plod round here a few summers ago on african twins in the woods looking for stolen bikes ragging about. Nothing like that trike thing though, most of them are on foot or push bikes where I live.

The community support officers in London have those 3 wheel scooters, they look ridiculous.
