Hi Guys,

About 3 months ago I bought myself some of these.

Not impressed! Zips on both boots have broken and they also prooved not to be very water proof, an hour in moderate rain was all they took to leak. Plus the waterproof lining gets caught in the zips adding to the zipper problem.

Anyway I took them back to Hein gerick 2 weeks ago and they have been sent off for repair, Still not heard back from them so I will chase it up on monday if I haven't heard anything.

I was considering buying some of the pro sport leather bottoms, they fit brilliantly and zipped to my hein gericke textile jacket which is a bonus, but I am put off by the quality of the boots.

Has anybody else had issues with the pro sport gear? I was told by the staff that the zips were a one off problem, but I work in retail, I know that when that line comes out it is very rarely true Laughing

Also has anybody else had stuff repaired by hein gericke, how long a wait should I be expecting?

Thanks

c_dug

If it's the boots I'm thinking of (white racing logo on the side of the boot?), they are actually just rebadged Oxford bone drys and hence nothing really to do with HG at all. Given that nearly all the Oxford stuff I've ever seen has been utter rubbish, it's not so surprising that these are too, I'd imagine the slow repair work is down to it taking longer for them to get the boots back to oxford rather than being able to sort them themselves.

Thankfully the leathers should be of better quality, I'm happy with the textiles and leathers I've had off them Thumbs Up

I have HG leathers and they are by far my favourites, good quality, good price. But then I wear Sidi boots Rolling Eyes

I'd still go for the trousers, they're made by HG.

Guess that serves me right for trusting in a brand name!
