Hey, I know this is sure to have been discussed on here before (I'm sure I've heard it mentioned) but I couldn't find anything from a quick search or anything yet about this incident. I was watching this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4VNQFy_QO0#t=1m21s

and after seeing it now I'm thinking, holy crap! What happened to the poor rider?

ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston?

Well i guess the bike shifted as the revs would of picked up, but i really doubt he fell off.

But it looks like his clutch, not his brake lever Confused

After watching that video, who would search for the word "brake"?

The leg looks more like a kick and not a falling off.

I thought his leg flying up in the air was a half-arsed gesture at kicking the other guy? That's what I first thought when I saw it anyway.

Other than that I guess if he was hard on the throttle and the clutch was pulled in and quickly let out he might have spun up the rear a bit and lost some traction causing him to fling his leg out in a panic response, but this seems unlikely...

Either way it really doesn't seem like he even came close to crashing!

-Edit- Beat me to it!

I searched for "riders brake" Those words on their own are very common but referring directly to another riders brake is rare.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRFmAy5kN8Y

Thats the brake pulling video. Its definatly the brake that gets pulled as the guy on the right puts out his left hand and touches the guy on the lefts right lever.

It looks like they were just messing around and he tried to kick the other bloke as in saying, "Get off ya git!"

The bike doesn't move or anything.

Yeah, that was Edwards on Rossi... Both have their history as yamaha teammates having a good laugh and Edwards is renown in the paddock for being the proverbial jester. Gone are the days when there was a bit of fun to be had in the Factory Yamaha paddock
