Went out for an early ride on the KTM this morning ... did my little southern route ..

It has been raining quite a bit the past few days (on and off), so terrain was an odd mix of dusty, damp and sodden ... made for good riding!! Cool

Thread title would have been better if it was "Today I did do..........crash"

You seemed to be going way faster than i've usually seen you ride, were you trying to keep up with the person infront too much?
Seems like your speed is getting abit too silly for the lanes?

Not seen these lanes before, what route is this? I shall be out on the TTR next weekend if you fancy showing me some new stuff? Bit bored of the long route and bocketts.

I've actually been trying to calm down a bit recently Embarassed https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=201569 I wouldn't say my speed was excessive, just got caught out ... wet rocks/stones, sh4gged front tyre and offcamber/rutt ... as we know ... these things happen form time to time!! Neutral

This is my 'southern route' ... connects up to the long route ... i.e. you can do it in isolation, or extend it by taking on some of the long route lanes Smile

I really like laning the TTR it's quite happy to just plod. It makes everything much more rewarding and challenging. It's good on fuel, cheap to maintain and I use it to commute to work, very robust bike.
I do however want an enduro bike to do some enduros.

I tried a new route around Basingstoke area, tones of lanes but all quite easy perfect for just enjoying a day out but not using tarmac all day.

I still haven't tried butser out yet. I think I have your GPS route "butsernewroutesorted" is that still good to use? Hopefully go out Sat.

Yeah, a TTR makes more 'sense' to be honest ... but you know how it is!? Embarassed

Can't remember what "butsernewroutesorted" was ... but I suspect it may have been refined since then?!!?! Dunno, bring it along, it we start going to go wrong I'll shout!! Very Happy

TTR will do enduros ok, though will need a bit more work of course - some clubs even have 'trail bike' classes so you're competing against others on less than idea stuff.

Oh and 3/10 for artistic impression and 2/10 for general performance - try harder next time Blue Wink.

Only 3/10 artistic impression, I thought it was quite a worthy crash ... there is the sound of pain and a near face plant - the lot!!! Very Happy

'Near' - you get the three elevated from a two for the sound!
