italjet went bankrupt a while back, so they are now a rare used buy and you will suffer from a lack of spares Thumbs Up

A gilera runner 180 (2 stroke version) is pretty good, and no problem with spares as far as I know, even thought they no longer make them.

Mine was nicked. I'd quite like another one day. Although have to admit I am a bit scared of people's reactions to me riding a scooter to work, which just makes me a coward, as they are ace.

or you could have a good look on the manufactures website if you don't believe me Wink
https://www.aprilia.com/

the aprilia SR50R comes in two variants, one being the fuel injected factory model and the other being the one in the photo above.

the old aprilia SR came in 3 capacity's 50cc, 125cc, *150cc* (**only sold in Europe) which like all the other 125cc 2strokes, is no longer produced

the engine is a piaggio engine so spares are not a problem, the rest of the bike is not, and thats where the problems arise when you need spares for say, the front suspension system Wink Thumbs Up

Are you still talking about the italjet ? because I dont think there is any problem getting bits for a gilera runner.

Personally would have gone for a smaller bike like a CG or something for a runaround/spare bike.

But to choose a scooter it does look rather nice.

I was once the proud owner of an Italjet Dragster 125, which i bought from new.

My proud ownership period lasted all of about 6 weeks, during that time it fell to pieces and parts of the wiring loom caught fire.

I eventually took the dealer through the small claims court and got my money back + interest. It also cost the dealership their Italjet franchise.

After the claim was decided in my favour, I even charged Italjet a daily storage charge for keeping their property in my garage.
