Why would it make you a pretentious git? Just because you don't want to listen to the chart top 20 being repeated over and over again on every other radio station. At the moment I'm listening to the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show . I do find Lauren Laverne quite irritating though.

Absolute Radio is OK and does play (in my opinion) some good music but it's still quite mainstream and I find the presenters a little annoying.

Best radio show of ever was Radio 2's Reggae Show - hosted by Mark Lamarr.
Sadly, it's not being made anymore, and the last one was sometime in 2009 IIRC.
Shame, because it really was a cracking show.

I have been listening to 6 recently. Until recently i would listen to radio 1 all day, every day but then i realised i could change station and it would mean that i would not have to hear fearne cotton very day! It was a revelation i tell you!

Think they play a good range of music of all genres on 6. Some old stuff you had forgotten about and some new stuff too.

Now i generally start the day with Moyles, switch over to 6 at 10am then back to radio1 at 4 for Mills for half an hour before i clock off.

Last time i listened to CM the show felt flat.
The 6music bloke in the mornings is no better shaun kevverney (sp)

Best show on the airwaves is Daily Show Hosted by Mike Bradshaw.
It's a show that has a 'Peel' spirit about it.
