hi i have been trying to sort a few issues ith my 1992 gsx600f and have come across that i have the wrong coils fitted

i have measured the resistances and what it should be reading is 2-4 ohms on the primary and 30,000 - 40,000 ohms on the secondary

what i got was 5 ohms on the primary and 38,500 and 40,500 ohms on the secondary

would this actually make a difference to the running of the bike? is it worth getting hte right coils?

Wrong coils would either drain your battery making an ample spark, or they would make an insufficient spark and might give a missfire or incomplete burn.

Coils warm up a great deal and their resistance changes. So try testing them again at the other temperature.
