Someone had a thread a while ago about tinting indy's yourself but i can't find it now.
Just wondering would the method he used work with tinting a clear visor or would i not be able to see through it after?

Been looking for a tinted/black visor for my helmet but can't seem to find one so was going to have a go at this if it's possible.

How about a pinlock conversion with a black insert or one of the generic inserts but one that is light reactive for brighter days? Don't like the idea of tinting the visor!

Honestly i have no clue what a pinlock insert is or how to use it.
Do they fit any visor?

Didn't think about the film they use for car windows. That's worth a look into thanks.

Pinlock inserts are available for a few makes and I think you can do a conversion if you're prepared to drill holes in the visor you have to fit the little knobbles.

I have the tinted pinlock for when I know I'm going to need to take it out for evening ride, but I do have a tinted visor as well. I reckon the car window tint would work, but bet it would be nice and fiddly as there's a hell of a curve on a visor to make some lovely air bubbles!! Confused

Or something like that anyway! A pinlock is something (after 6 years of Shoei's with them in) I wouldnt be without!

I fitted one of the universal kits to my BOX cheapo lid. they are a bit fiddly to fit but nothing that is too hard, they come with a stick on bit that shows you where to drill. took about 10 mins to do mine and its great espicially now the mornings are getting a bit colder
