Just wondering... thinking of selling my ZXR400, 2002 14k miles.. but it has scratches from being slid down the road twice and has marks marks of droppage... so it looks a lot worse than it's actually been through. (plus it has Stelvio pass and Furka pass stickers from my 2009 trip... are they gona be value droppers? just a thought.. bike went to Turkey and back in 09)

Do I buy new fairings and then sell it or am I going to loose money that way?

Just after some advice/views really...

Thanks

Id rather buy a bike of an honest seller than someone who has tried to disguise the damage with cheap aftermarket fairings.

point taken! cheers!

(I would probably buy 2nd hand original fairings though + there is no damage to disguise other than the scratched fairings themselves)

hello i had an nc30 last year that i sold, similar sort of thing to yours where it was a great bike in vgc but a couple of stationary drops DID lower the price a bit with scraches to one side fairing only.

If i were the buyer id rather it be slightly damaged original bike than one thats been botched (not that you would)... like said above really!

best of luck whatever you decide Thumbs Up

I'm vaguely after a ZXR400 track bike... and a scuffed up road bike might fit the bill... How much would you be looking for out of interest?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Keep it mate.

I will always regret selling my zxr400. You will never get that same feeling riding another bike.

Keep it, and just buy another bike.
