Shortcut to a webpage with a twist

I use Google Chrome as my Dafault browser.

I need to use IE for 2 web apps, is there a way to change an IE shortcut so it goes to a certain website. So the end result would be to short cuts one that opened ie and goes to website x and one that goes to website y. But I.e. is not the default browser so a standard bookmark will not cut it.

Don't think so as that would require your page being able to control the programs kicked off by you PC which would be a touch insecure.

Or do you mean a desktop shortcut that you have set up in advance? That should be possible.

Why do the pages need to be opened with IE?

Slightly related I needed a manual for a TV yesterday. LG had the manual on their web site but you could only open the link with IE (so useless if you are using a Mac).

Create a new shortcut and specify the target as:

Chrome is simpler but it's possible using firefox - with an add-on to open pages in IE and you can make it always use the add-on for certain pages.
Some pages use activeX or something and won't work 100% with firefox.

Sounds a bit like a .net application deployed using clickonce deployment.

Microsoft hate you using other browsers, we use Dynamics CRM and that won't open in anything other than IE.
