I'm going to try their touring tyres at the end of this month, people seem to jump to conclusions over the cheapness but I have read at least 80%* good reviews, surely if you already have a set on there then you know what they are like?

*percentage is plucked from thin air.

Being fair though it is much lighter and has half the power of most 600s.

This may well be a silly attitude but there are just certain things I will not buy cheap on the bike, Tyres and brake pads being the main things. I shredded a pair of cheap pads in 1000 miles on the GS that also had shit tyres when I bought it the best 'mod' I did was put some bt45's on it.

The thing is maxxis supersport tyres are not poor quality tyres, they are actually very good and well priced.

I've had all sorts of brands of tyres and then I thought I would try a cheaper brand, I tried maxxis supersports and I was very impressed with them. Will definetly be buying them again.

I'd have the Maxxis SuperMax tyres over the BT45's anyday.

As for the YZF being half the power of most sports 600s. I dont know of any stock sports 600s which are 120bhp.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamaha_YZF-R6

Im pretty sure the claimed figures here are wrong to be honest, they seem a little too high even from a manufacturer, but I'm sure the 2008 r6 got tested at 118 or 120.

Think I mentioned this the last time Maxxis came up but some people on RSVZone bought Maxxis from ( Brick Wall ) DK and have had the crack split and start to delaminate.

Just thought I'd share in case anyone else was stupid enough to be using those utter scum buzzards Thumbs Up
