Is the dainese logo supposed to be a devil or a representation of a/the devil or is it just a random shape?

No way, he's been a People's front of Judea loyalist for ever.

Its a devil. For anyone who is at all interested, the Dainese logo was originally sketched as a full devil holding a wheel...but that was dropped to just show the futuristic devils head.

+1, I worked for a dainese outlet for 11 years, mid nineties they did a whole range called beelzebu, and they often refer to diavolo, usually the devil inside in motorcycle racing, often copied, look at the frank thomas logo and wolfsport

Yup, lots of devil / Hell references in their range.

In fact, they even say this on their own website..

"Yet Lino Dainese succeeded in convincing first MotoGP racers and then World Cup skiers to wear his Back Protector. That made it the red devil company's symbol: a product that cuts across lines and exports Lino's original concept of safety and protection from the world from the race track to the ski slope by way of snowboards, kite-surf, and mountain bikes"

If we read all that lot backwards, will we all end up as acolytes of the Dark Lord, then ?

According to the response from Dianese support team I received on my question about the logo meaning. The logo displays devil.

here is the response
Quote:
Lino Dainese considers movement, high speed and freedom and how to put them all together with safety. Lino began designing a trademark and logo back in '71 even before he founded his company. The fire inside is pointing in a specific direction. The devil runs fast and looks at the world through a magical lens, seeing things that others cannot yet even imagine. In the distance lies what Lino feels, what he wants to do and communicate together.

You can also check out the history of the company and the meaning of the logo directly on our website:
www [dot] dainese [dot] com/it_en/timeline/#time_2

According to the link above the logo displays demon as well.
Quote:
1971

THE IDEA TAKES SHAPE

The first drafts of the company logo were designed. The first logo featured a red devil as a symbol of dynamism and rebellion.

Knowing the logo meaning now Everyone can decide for himself/herself to wear devil's logo or not.
